Jack Enjoys Leaving His Mark
You know those times when you walk into a room and there is a beautifully laid out line of cars, toys, books, etc, and you can’t help but appreciate the order and the neatness of it? This post is a tribute to those moments. Lining up items is a stereotypical behavior of autism and one that I’ve come to appreciate from my son, Jack. You never quite know what you’re gonna get when he decides to go into “line-up mode”.
I am also reminded of God’s incredible created order in the universe. Everything seems to fit and work neatly, although not yet perfected. That craving my son has toward order and precision, I believe, points to an attribute of God that’s worthy of our praise.
What are some of the things your child tends to line up? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
