Thanks for hanging out with us!

Hey! I’m John and I started Autism4Christ to help encourage others, like me, who have the incredible and sometimes seemingly impossible task of raising children with autism. I’m excited you’re here with us!

My wife Katie and I have been married for 11 years now. She’s incredible and God knew I needed her on this journey. We were shocked to learn we were having twins in 2016 when Jack and Ellie came along which forever altered our lives. Everything in life doubled instantly! God threw us another curveball when they were both diagnosed with autism at the age of three. They are beautifully unique in many ways and are God’s inspiration for me to begin this ministry. I’m excited to share their stories with you as they grow and mature. We’ve had days of immense joy and days when we’ve questioned our own sanity (actually, at least once a day this happens).

Not to be outdone, Lucy came along two-and-a-half years later to assert herself as the one calling the shots over her siblings. It’s been really cool to see how much she loves her brother and sister already (probably because she bosses them around). She is attached to Jack particularly all the time. I’ve also been told she’s my twin.

As a Christian, I believe that life’s greatest aim is to glorify God and grow to become more like Him. And yes, autism is part of His plan and purpose for those of us on that journey. It’s scary and unpredictable but I believe it’s also a tool of His immeasurable grace toward us. That is what I hope to explore with you through this ministry.

I’d love to see Autism4Christ become a platform where stories of God’s goodness, even through hard times, are shared with the world. I believe you have a powerful and inspirational story from your journey that can provide hope and encouragement to others. Share your story here if you’d like!

If you’re struggling and would like us to pray for you, we’d be happy to do that. I know it seems like a simple thing, but prayer is powerful and something our community desperately needs from each other. Please visit here if you’d like us to pray for you.

Maybe you’re a fellow Christian struggling on your journey with autism. Perhaps you are questioning God’s care or wondering how He’s working in your life. I hope you will find a home here where your faith and trust in Him is reinvigorated.

Maybe you’re not a Christian but you’ve been touched by the trials of raising a child with autism. I’m so glad you’re here! My hope and prayer are that God would use this site to draw you to Him as the source of true comfort and hope.

Maybe you’ve been indirectly impacted by autism through a friend or family member. You have such an important part to play in their lives and God has you around them for a reason.

Or maybe your occupation revolves around helping people with autism (teachers, therapists, ministry workers, etc.). You are also an important person in that child’s life and have the opportunity to see things from a different perspective.

In other words, this site is for everyone whose been touched by autism and given a role to play in their own life or someone else’s.

I’m not a theologian and I don’t have all the answers, but our God does, and I am on a journey to discover how autism is part of His amazing plan. So I’d like to invite you to please come along with me on this journey and see that God is good and faithful even in the midst of our struggles!

For from Him, through Him, and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen. – Romans 11:36
